Speech Pathologist - Direct Hire
Roseville, California | Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities: Integrates language, speech, and hearing program within the child's general education program, consulting with parents, Supervising Teacher, and others as appropriate. Provides services that include evaluation, assessment, and remedial programs related primarily to communication deficits of the child identified as meeting eligibility requirements for language, speech, and hearing services. Develop a rapport and an effective working relationship with other Special Education team members, Student Study Team (SST), and the Supervising Teacher. Build trust and confidence with students and parents in the home- based instruction setting. Provide direct and/or consultation services as defined on the IEP. Teach students in a wide variety of levels and age ranges. Administer, analyze, and interpret a wide range of assessment measures. Provide written reports and new goals in draft form for IEP. Participate in scheduled IEP meetings and other Special Education meetings. Supervise the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
Requirements: Completion of clinical fellowship year. (Candidates may be considered.) Valid Speech, Language and Hearing credential authorizing the holder to provide specialized services to students with communication disabilities. State license. Some experience in a "home-based instruction" setting is preferable. Knowledge of subject area and current instructional methodologies, technology, and techniques associated with communicatively disabled students. Experience giving standardized assessments and interpreting the results. Experience writing reports for assessments and program evaluations. Experience evaluating goals and objectives for IEPs. TB Test Clearance. Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance. Excellent communication skills. Ability to complete documents andreports in a timely manner.
