We are recruiting for a Special Education Teacher for a Charter School in the Roseville area. This position is responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating individualized educational programs and instructionfor special needs students. The position is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities: Act as case manager for students on their caseload. Monitor student progress toward goals and objectives. Convene and facilitate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings. Monitor the provision of all Special Education services. Monitor student progress in meeting grade-level standards. Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for the development of IEP's and placement. Review and/or modify a student's program, placement, or services. Coordinate, collaborate, and integrate Special Education services with regular school programs and providers for each student with identified disabilities; communicate and monitor accommodations and modifications to general education program. Build trust and confidence with students and parents in the home based instruction setting. Provide direct and/or consultation services as defined on the Individual Education Program (IEP). Teach students ina wide variety of levels and age ranges. Consult with the Supervising Teacher (ST) to modify curriculum. Administer, analyze, and interpret a wide range of assessment measures. Provide written reports and new goals in draft form for IEPs. Participate in scheduled IEP meetings and other Special Education meetings.

Requirements: 1-2 years' experience teaching students with exceptional needs. Current valid California teachingcredential. Special Education credential(s) as required. Some experience in a "home-based instruction" preferred. Knowledge of subject area and current instructional methodologies, technology, and techniques associated with the Special Education child. Experience giving standardized assessments and interpreting the results. Experience writing reports for assessments and program evaluations. Experience with evaluating goals and objectives for IEPs. TB Test clearance. Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance. Ability to communicate effectively.
