We are recruiting for a Purchasing Agent for our client in downtown Sacramento. This position works closely with the Customer Service and Sales teams as well as Vendors. Ideal candidates thrive on building relationships and being the liaison between departments as well as working with systems to ensure smooth order processing.

Responsibilities: Order status updates with vendors for estimated delivery or tracking information onrequests. Expedite shipping and production requests. Process order escalations including pre-shipment address changes, updating part numbers and cost, etc. Develop strong relationships with major vendor contacts. Perform daily order management tasks. Process holds and similar manual order reviews before release. Enter orders in vendorB2B portals and extract delivery and tracking information where applicable. Process any order confirmation or tracking emails sent by vendors via email.

Requirements: 2 years' purchasing experience or in an operations role. BA/BS degree preferred. Must be comfortable in a highly digital environment including multiple monitors, programs, and digital tools. Excellent verbal and written communication. Proven record of working effectively in a team atmosphere. Previous high-end-retail or Ecommerce experience a plus.
