We are recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a progressive and integrated care team in Sacramento. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner performs psychiatric evaluations, treats psychiatric illnesses, maintains records, and provides healthand mental health education. Ideal candidate will have hands on experience working with a variety of mental healthpatients. Responsibilities: Obtain detailed psychiatric history on assigned patients. Assess and treat psychiatric illnesses. Write detailed progress notes on patients' charts following SOAP format; maintain other records as needed. Provide health and mental health education to patients and families. Maintain pace with assigned appointment schedule and help assure timely patient access to care. Participate constructively in peer review activities and quality assurance/improvement projects as assigned. Participate constructively in theannual performance evaluation process. Oversee student interns including Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.

Requirements: 2+ years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the State of California required. Current First Aid and CPR Certification; Current DEA licensing. Knowledge of medications, including indications, contraindications, interactions, dosing, side effects, and proper administration. Experience with patient care, addiction treatment, mental-health disorders, and co-occurring disorders treatment. Ability to perform psychiatric examinations using standard medicalprocedures; able to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Detail orientated; proficient oral and written communication skills. Computerliteracy and bilingual language capability preferred.
