A longstanding architect and planning firm in Sacramento is currently in need of an experience Project Architect tojoin their growing team. The Project Architect will be responsible for producing and implementing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction. Candidates with proven experience in civic and commercial projects including phases from initiation to completion are highly desired. This is a great full time direct hire opportunity to be a part of a successfully growing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver the required architectural, planning and programming services for each project, phase or stage of the work. Ensure document quality is achieved as planned. Deliver to time and cost, within agreed tolerances. Manage the people, work and resources involved in all project phases. Assist in updating work plans with actuals and forecasts. Manage deviations from plan, in regard to document production. Escalate decisions and unresolved issues. Conduct One-on-One meetings with direct reports, regarding professional development, performance review and training. Establish and maintain a work plan of professional goals and training. Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are property documented, per company procedures, and vigorously pursued. Implement guidelines applicable to the project. Coordinate and direct all necessary consultant services and staffing for the project. Communicate staffing fluctuations to the Project Manager, on a week-to-week basis.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture preferred, but not required. 5 -7 years in commercial projects involving a variety of building types, sizes and complexities. Thorough knowledge of architectural principles, techniques, procedures and practice, including implementation of budgeting, scheduling, planning, specification and bid documents. Advanced experience in AutoDesk Building Suite. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Suite programs. Experience with Newforma, Prolog, or equivalent program.
