Professional Membership Coordinator
Sacramento, California | Direct Hire Position
Our client is in need of a skilled and professional Membership Coordinator that has experience working with a large diverse membership. The Membership Coordinator will coordinate the membership functions and operations including member recruitment, retention and engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills with database management, be able to provide exceptional customer service, and great communication skills. This is full time, direct hire opportunity with an organization that values their members and employees. Free parking is provided.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the daily activities of the Membership Department. First point of contact for members and prospects. Develop recruitment and retention strategies that meet and exceed participation and revenue goals. Serve as the lead staff member in managing the database and ensuring integrity of member profiles. Assemble and send out new member and prospective member kits. Run annual membership renewals and invoices. Send outanniversary letters and pins. Create and deploy membership surveys and evaluations. Runs rosters, exports and reports from database. Staff liaison for the Membership Committee. Stay apprised of association activities, policies and services to respond to inquiries. Makes decisions on basic projects. Researches polices/solutions and reports to Executive Director concerning various projects. Performs additional duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's degree preferred. Three (3) years of applicable work experience in administrative and/or project management. Candidates must have experience working within an internal database. Requires excellent written and oral communication and organization skills. Requires intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.E. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Web and social media applications.
