Responsibilities: Perform initial case assessments and investigate claims. Prepare legal documents; efficiently gather, organize, summarize and documents. Set up and maintain files/database. Create pleadings, including summons and affidavits. Heavy calendaring. Ensure documents are properly filed and distributed. Research aspects of the case for discovery purposes. Prepare written reports and correspondence. Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, and contracts. Organize and track case files.
Requirements: Must have 3-5 years' litigation/case management paralegal experience. Paralegal certificate required. Strong ability to efficiently analyze, categorize and accurately summarize documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience with family law a plus. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients.
