We are currently recruiting for a reliable Office Clerk for a healthcare organization in the Sacramento area. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills with the ability to handle upset and distraught callers efficiently and with compassion. The Office Clerk will answer calls and perform general administrative tasks. This position is Part Time, 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities: Answers and directs incoming calls; appropriately documents incoming messages and service requests. Processes and distributes daily departmental mail. Maintains calendar for activities; records and distributes daily schedule information. Prepares materials for activities; maintains activity log. Sends activity follow up correspondence to customers. Scans, files, indexes documents. Prepares PowerPoints and other communication materials. Drafts professional forms and letters. Completesprojects as assigned.

Requirements: 2 years' experience working in a healthcare office environment. High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills: calm, supportive andprofessional demeanor. Proficient with MS Office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. Self-directed and ableto work both independently as well as collaborate with a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of HIPAA.

Pay: $16/hour.
