Medical Claims Coordinator
Sacramento, CA | Temp-to-Hire Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as liaisonbetween staff and assigned health plans for day-to-day operations including billing, enrollment and broker commission inquiries as well as claims reporting and related financial activities. Supports the production of regular and ad hoc reports to meet contractual requirements and health plan requests. Resource to client related to updates and process integration and new implementation items Directs customer service attendance to email and phone for client employer groups and related brokers. Responds to internal customer service support request on claim payment, ACH assignment, and eligibility inquiries Process weekly claims payments, credits, high volume refunds and intricate reporting for assigned clients. Complete COBRA management, COBRA processing, and enrolls members in client benefits programs. Review and pursue aged Accounts Receivable, prepare cash receipts and depositsfor multiple accounts, and initiate online banking transmittals. Process monthly billing cycles as well as biweeklyand monthly client individual plan capitation payment. Close and reconcile claims and enrollment systems monthly.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS: 2+ years' experience in an administrative support and coordination role, some experience with accounting preferred. Ability to handle a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment. Knowledge of a healthcare setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
