We are currently recruiting Medical Assistant candidates for our clients in the Fairfield and Vacaville areas.The Medical Assistant will work in the back office providing direct patient care by performing routine patient procedures and clerical support services in the family practice. This position will perform this role by building relationships with patients through demonstrating compassion and respect and will be proactive in managingpatient's expectations.

Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting clinicians and patients to ensureefficient flow consistent with care center service standards. Take patient vitals, schedule appointments, provide office and patient support. Ensure that exam rooms are clean, stocked, and appropriately set up each day prior to rooming patients. Maintain patient medical records by accurately documenting actions and charting diagnostic test result. Receive and record test results and ensure that those results are with the patient's medical record at the time of visit. Prepare patients for appropriate exams and procedures by reviewing EHR health maintenance and disease management or patient chart for services. Properly cares for medical equipment and performs maintenance responsibilities.

Requirements: 2+ years' of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice.Proof of graduation from an accredited medical assisting program. Must have a valid CPR card. Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve difficult customer service issues and/or escalate to supervisor as needed. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Must be able to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions. Ability to read, write and speak in a clear and professional manner; includes active listening skills and understanding medical terminology. Ability to take accurate vitals, EKG and update patient charting. Demonstrated patience and caring interest in patient's needs. Knowledge of HIPAA Guidelines. $16-17
