Hospital Inventory Specialist

We are recruiting for a Hospital Inventory Specialist for an organization in downtown Sacramento. The Hospital Inventory Specialist is responsible for various facets of inventory maintenance for the company. The role's focus is the administration and inventory management to support business demands. The Hospital Inventory Specialistwill play an integral role in preparing and processing physical inventory and routine cycle counts.

Responsibilities: Manages and maintains department inventories. Rotates stock, manages expiration dates, de-cases supplies, stocks shelves and arranges for product returns when necessary. Participates in an ongoing basis in routine inventory cycle counts. Coordinates special supply, equipment and instrument needs for upcoming procedures. Monitors product usage through available system optimization reports. Continually improves processes and streamlines merchandise transfers. Receives replenishments: process, unpack, and organize shipments, and manage all special merchandise requests. Assists with patient billing inquiries. Works with multiple departments to process merchandise returns and acknowledge receipt of shipments. Communicates with fulfillment center any discrepancies or quality issues discovered during both the receiving and auditing of merchandise. Accounting and reporting of inventory surplus, product returns, and any damages. Researches new supply and equipment requests Ensures neat and orderly storage and control of inventory at all times.

Requirements: 1-2 years' of inventory experience or supply chain experience. Healthcare supply chain experiencerequired. High School diploma required; college degree preferred. Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of Supply Chain and inventory Management Systems preferred. Ability to work with multiple variables and know how to optimize solutions. Outstanding time management skills and a high-level attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of current OSHA guidelines. Familiarity with computerized and manual inventory practices. Knowledge of shipping/receiving practices.
