We have direct hire opportunity with a global organization for a proactive and strategic HR Manager. Position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. The HR Manager will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Position is located in theDavis, CA area and candidates must be able to occasionally travel overnight.

Responsibilities: Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Develops department goals, objectives and systems. Implements/updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures. Conducts recruitment effort; writes and places advertisements; workswith supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; and monitors career-path program. Handles employee relations investigations, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Leads people related initiatives, such as training and development plans.

Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Human Resources. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Master's degree in human resource management desirable. (SHRM-CP) or (SHRM-SCP) credential. Adept at strategic thinking and experience leading and managing high visibility projects. Exemplary interpersonal, written, organizational and communication skills. Disciplined, focused, detail oriented and dedication to constant improvement. Knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits and compensation. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
