Job Description

We are recruiting a detail-oriented Financial Auditor to support a project for a real estate development company in Roseville. This position is long term contract (through 3/31/2025) and is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (no overtime). The Financial Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and other financial reports to ensure that financial information is presented accurately, fairly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Pay: $40-$55/hour DOE. 


The qualified candidate will have audit experience as a Senior Accountant/Senior Audit Associate or above, excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and real estate development or property management (multi-site) industry experience. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with implementation and coordination of the fiscal monitoring process
  • Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances and internal accounting activities
  • Document audit results in a neat and organized manner consistent with established department standards
  • Review vendor cost statements, staffing ratios, attendance records, and provide training as needed
  • Aid in preparing audit reports to concisely communicate audit results, recommendations/observations, and management action plans


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 5+ years previous financial audit experience
  • Real estate development or property management industry preferred
  • General accounting experience with Balance Sheets and Income Statements, including A/R, A/P, Capital Expenses (Depreciation and Amortization), Deferred Income, etc. is required. 
  • Strong experience with month-end/year-end accounting close functions, accruals, and journal entries required
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required. 
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager accounting software
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
