Job Description
We are recruiting for a Compensation Analyst for a six-month contract role. Could be potential for hire for the qualified candidate. Our client is a global company with a strong national presence. This position is 100% remote and must be based in California. The Compensation Analyst will provide analysis research by gathering and organizing data from a variety of sources to gain a clear understanding of job duties and responsibilities. Pay: $45/hr-$55/hr DOE.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of compensation and experience with HRIS systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides consultation, interpretation, and advisement to HR on compensation programs, policy, and philosophy.
- Partners with HR to execute new hire offers, promotions, individual assessments, and job evaluations.
- Supports the administration of annual merit and bonus process.
- Audit and review internal compensation data to proactively resolve pay disparities, misalignment to the compensation philosophy, and internal compression.
- Assist in guiding HR and managers on company job architecture, career framework, leveling new jobs, and assessing compensation packages.
- Provides support in the design, implementation, documentation and administration of compensation programs and policies.
- Assists with researching, information gathering, benchmarking, and analyzing survey data or other market intelligence to identify trends.
- Gathers data, metrics, and other elements to support annual and quarterly survey submissions to maintain company’s access to market trends and time relevant data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent education and/or relevant experience required.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with performing analysis and benchmarking using survey data, administering compensation programs, and processing data using HR technology and/or Excel.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience data entry, reporting, and general support using an HRIS.
- Able to think analytically, critically, and problem solve.
- Strong knowledge of HR related Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing compensation including Wage and Hour law.
- Experience with job evaluation/point factor systems.
- Must be familiar with national labor market trends and the execution of effective processes to support compensation strategies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and compensation related applications.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Able to navigate, gather, and perform tasks associated with benchmarking.
- Strong organizational and project administration skills.
- Ability to function professionally in a fast-paced, sometimes high stress environment.
